Sunshines out my arse annual golf classic
The annual subculture golf classic held at the swanky Noosa Par 3 is the stage for the most anticipated sporting event of the year. Forget World Cup Soccer. This is where all underdog comebacks are doggedly fought out!
Drinking is encouraged and frankly frowned upon if not participated in.
Here Alicia receives here award for best fresh air Swing. The host thought a bigger sweet spot might help her aim.

Cyclone Larry Territory
Cyclone Larry is 3 months old today. Some made it and some didn't. The devastation is quite remarkable with most trees being stripped of all leaves, with branches now looking like hairy arms. The vegetation is responding much like a fire except everything is still so green.
This nice old place is uninhabited, one of the few to survive.
Bundaberg Show
The holden stormriders would have to be every blokes dream job.
We drove into town and everything was closed. We checked our watch and yes it was a weekday. Where was everyone? We drove around looking for a supermarket but instead stumbled onto the Bundy Show, public holiday. We were enthralled by the cattle.
FNQ - Far North Queensland
The psuedo state of Far North Queensland has been quite a revelation. We came into the area with little knowledge of the secrets it holds. Along the spine of the northern extent of the Great Dividing Range are rich green rainforests, part of the Wet Tropics World Heritage area. High rainfall cuts through the rich soils to the old volcanic rock that helped form the area.

Frazer Island
Frazer Island is the worlds largest sand island and recognised as a World Heritage area. It has an incredibly diverse terrain and vegetation but its lakes are the main attraction. The colour pallete that Frazer Island put on display was incredible. The perched lakes scattered across its length were as inviting as anywhere could be for a swim.
Lake Birrabeen
Sunset on the lakeshore
Basin Lake is one of the smallest lakes on the Island. It is nearly perfectly round with another idylic sandy beach from which to swim. I nearly got busted here when a bunch of backpackers arrived. I had just swum nude to the other side.
Melaleuca's skirt many of the lakes soaking up the wet environment.
Sundew's inhabit the blindingly bright white sands of the lakeside.
